Building on the power of the Galaxy Tab Active3, the Galaxy Tab Active5 delivers significant improvements in performance, durability and security to help businesses conquer their challenges and boost productivity in the field, even in harsh working environments. Additionally, the Galaxy Tab Active5 will be sold as an Enterprise Edition, making it easy for businesses to enroll, configure, manage and analyze hundreds of devices.
Designed with the needs of retailers in mind, the Galaxy Tab Active5 features a high-resolution camera, near-field communication (NFC) and push-to-talk functionality to enable more efficient barcode-scanning, mobile point-of-sale (mPOS), in-store communication and more. In addition to retail, the Galaxy Tab Active5 also delivers new capabilities in other industries that require a high degree of durability, including foodservice, manufacturing, transportation, construction and the public sector.

Drops, spills and dust are no match for the Galaxy Tab Active5. The device can now withstand drops of 1.5m on its own and 1.8m in its protective case,1 providing employees a greater level of confidence when stocking high shelves or using the device on forklifts. For added protection, the Galaxy Tab Active5 also features Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5 for upgraded durability and scratch resistance on the display.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 is IP68-rated2 for water and dust resistance and is compliant with MIL-STD-810H3 certification — providing protection against altitudes, temperatures, vibration and humidity. Thanks to its adjustable Touch Sensitivity4 settings, the device's touch screen can be used in wet conditions or with gloves on, and it has been tested for use with sanitizers.5 The tablet also comes with an IP68-rated S Pen, ideal for jotting down notes and capturing customer signatures in any weather condition.
Despite its durability, the Galaxy Tab Active5 maintains a slim, lightweight design. At 10.1mm thick and 433g, the device is highly portable and convenient for use on the store floor, in restaurants or on the road.

The Galaxy Tab Active5 is loaded with features to boost productivity and empower retail associates to work more efficiently. With the device's programmable side key,6 employees can instantly access push-to-talk and communicate with co-workers from across the store at the touch of a button. It features a louder maximum speaker volume,7 ensuring clear and accurate communication in loud environments.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 can function as an enterprise-grade barcode scanner with its 13-megapixel camera, capable of capturing entire batches in a single scan via Knox Capture.8 It is also equipped with NFC payment reader technology and supports Knox Platform for POS9 (Point of Sale), making it a convenient, portable payment solution for stores and restaurants.
Workers can unleash the full power of the Galaxy Tab Active5 with enhanced PC connectivity. The device can effortlessly handle quick content sharing, simultaneous displays and overall continuity of work with a PC through Link to Windows. Designed for All-Day Connectivity
The Galaxy Tab Active5 features 5G and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity,11 allowing workers to collaborate and communicate throughout the workplace. It also supports CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) for private network service, so retailers can leverage the devices on their own dedicated networks.
The Galaxy Tab Active5 now comes with additional eSIM support, allowing users to have separate phone numbers for work and personal use. This also makes it easy to switch between two SIM cards depending on the network environment, so professionals can access their private network inside the store or office and switch to public networks when outside.
For all-day power, the Galaxy Tab Active5 supports POGO charging, which simplifies the charging process by enabling workplaces with POGO docks12 to charge multiple devices at once. It also comes equipped with a replaceable battery13 and can leverage fast-charging,14 minimizing downtime in between charges. In addition, the Galaxy Tab Active5 can run without a battery in No Battery Mode,15 allowing workers to use the device non-stop at kiosks or in vehicles and preserve battery health in hot environments.
To accommodate different working environments, the Galaxy Tab Active5's 8.0-inch display now features Vision Booster technology for greater visibility in bright, outdoors conditions. The screen is also now 13% brighter than the previous generation and features a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother viewing of planograms and other detailed documents.

The Galaxy Tab Active5 will be sold as an Enterprise Edition in the U.S., making it business-ready out of the box. It comes with one year of complimentary Knox Suite to provide businesses with the tools to secure, deploy, manage and analyze devices throughout their life cycle. It also features extensive security support with up to five years of security maintenance releases, offering an extra layer of protection from mobile security threats, as well as consistent Android and Samsung security patch updates and maintenance reports. Additionally, Enterprise Edition ensures business continuity for customers with a three-year product lifecycle support plan for Galaxy Tab Active5 devices, including one extra year of warranty16 on top of the basic warranty offered.
